Teacher Training Workshops

La Lucena E.L.C. offers a variety of environmental education and experiential learning courses for teachers.

• 2 Day Environmental Education Training Workshop
  Teachers spend an overnight at La Lucena and learn a wide variety of interdisciplinary activities and strategies for their students. Philosophy and teaching goals are discussed as well as concrete ways to implement environmental learning into the classroom , with adequate curricula handouts. This course is designed for teachers of all subjects in elementary public schools.
   
  
• Dunn and Stapley Weekend Adventure Courses for teachers of the English Language
  This 2 night residential course is designed for teachers of the English language. Through games, activities, and discussions teachers learn many techniques on making lessons fun. For more information see the Dunn and Stapley website.
   
  
• In-house Teacher Training Seminars
  This seminar is designed for teachers and heads of bilingual schools. It presents Environmental Education Learner Outcomes for students from grades 1 to 9. Participants discuss realistic strategies for vertical interdisciplinary integration, across the language Departments.
